Why Antioch Bible Church?
What’s in a name?
We chose Antioch Bible Church because our beliefs and convictions aren’t new. They are taken from the very earliest Christians in the pages of Scripture. The church in Antioch was home church of the Apostle Paul, and the first to send missionaries to Gentile people. Over the first several centuries of Christianity, they had an influence far beyond their own walls. We hope to follow in those steps.

What do we believe about the Bible?
The Bible is inspired by God, given to us so that we might know Him and how to follow Him. The Bible is the primary means by which God shows himself to us today.
What do we believe about God?
God has always existed in three persons, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. He made the world perfect, and though we have all fallen short of his perfection, he wants a relationship with everyone.
What do we believe about Jesus?
Jesus is the eternal Son of God who came to live on earth to experience our pain with us and rescue us from sin. His death on the cross satisfies the perfection God requires. His resurrection proves God accepted his sacrifice for us, and He lives in God’s presence where we will join him one day.
What do we believe about the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the triune God. We believe that every Christian is given the Holy Spirit when they trust in Christ. He brings glory to Christ by helping us live the Christian life and uniting the church. We know we are abiding with him by the fruit of our lives.
What do we believe about the Creeds?
We believe the ancient Christian statements of faith commonly referred to as the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
What do we believe about Baptism?
For those who have chosen to follow Christ, baptism is an opportunity to demonstrate this commitment to others and identify with the community of faith. Taking this step of baptism is a profound statement, and each person (young or old) should be free to choose to be baptized as their conscience leads them.
What do we believe about Worship?
Worship is ultimate; it is where all of history is headed, and our services and singing on earth are a small foretaste of this. Our services and singing are not about the talent or personality of the leaders, but are congregation-focused, designed to be participatory and not observatory.
What is our theological tradition?
Antioch Bible is part of the Baptist tradition. We believe baptism is only for those who confess Christ because of two foundational convictions: all matters of personal faith must originate from a free conscience and be completely separate from the influence of the state.
